Bridge
Program Goal:
Our goal is to maximize student understanding and achievement in each subject area. We aim to support the classroom teacher and provide supplemental instruction to aid students in mastering skills and concepts and to enrich his/her learning experience.
Program Description:
The Bridge Program offers individualized instruction to students who have been professionally tested with an academic need. Enrolling students are currently a part of our BBS family and have a need for enhanced instruction outside of the regular classroom. The Bridge teacher will work directly with the learning team to structure extra instructional time, necessary tutoring sessions, and make any accomidations that best meet the students’ learning needs and curricular goals. Students will have individual instruction outside of the regular classroom (pull-out) throughout the school day as described in each Individual Success Plan. The Bridge teacher may also work within the regular classroom when necessary.
Academic Learning Team:
Individual Success Plans (ISP) will be created by the learning team and implemented by the Bridge teacher/instructor. Team members will consist of the student, parent(s), Bridge teacher, grade-level classroom teachers, division principal, and the Academic Coordinator or guidance counselor.
Program Commitment:
A year-long commitment is recommended. Each student will be reevaluated at the end of the semester. It has been found that the program is most effective on a continual and consistent basis. However, we can review your child’s placement at any time.
Academic Testing: The bridge Program is specifically designed to meet the needs of students who have been tested by an educational psychologist/professional. Parents are required to provide copies of all testing results at the time of enrollment in the program. These testing results will be included in the Individual Success Plan.
Program Payment/ Fees:
The fees for the Bridge Program will be paid through the business office. All payment schedules for regular tuition will apply to Bridge tuition. Fees = $2500.
