We are continuing our study of "Dogs" this week using one of our favorite dogs, Clifford, to help us master the short i sound.  We will also be writing our own version of Clifford's Busy Week.

Our math focus continues to be breaking apart numbers and using the idea "how many of each can I have."  This could also be called names for numbers.

Your child will continue to checkout classroom books.  I think they are doing pretty well.  Some of the books may appear too easy right now, but as confidence builds more risks will be taken.  Thank you for the encouragement.

Our service project for the month of September is "We Can, Because We Care!"  Please allow your child to bring in at least one can of food to give to the Chattanooga Food Bank.
