I have been teaching Spanish at Boyd-Buchanan for 23 years. I worked with the Hispanic Church of Christ (Iglesia de Cristo) for many years, and I have traveled to Spain, Mexico, and Cuba. I have also traveled with the school to the City of Children in Mexico where I taught classes to the children. I love teaching Spanish at Boyd-Buchanan and consider it a great priviledge to belong to the Boyd-Buchanan family.

Conversational Spanish 3
Conversational Spanish 3 is designed for students who would like to learn to interact with native speakers on a conversational level. Students will learn the skills to help them become good global citizens and valuable members of mission teams.
Spanish I Accelerated
Accelerated Spanish I is designed for students who have a good background in Spanish and would like to learn Spanish at a faster pace. Students who would like to take upper-level Spanish courses are strongly encouraged to take Accelerated Spanish I.
Spanish II
While continuing the teaching methods of Spanish I, students expand their knowledge of Spanish and increase their fluency in speaking and writing. Students begin to read independently and fulfill a reading contract during second semester.
Spanish II Accelerated
Accelerated Spanish II is designed for students who have proven themselves capable and willing to pursue language acquisition on a more involved level. Students begin reading independently during first semester and read more advanced novels than students read in Spanish II classes. Students also develop a greater awareness of the mechanics of the language.
