Applying to Boyd Buchanan School

Thank you for your interest in Boyd Buchanan Secondary School.

WE WILL BEGIN ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2018-2019 SCHOOL YEAR ON SEPTEMBER 15.

Welcome to Boyd Buchanan School! A message from the Secondary Admissions Director.

Lori Wortman

Thank you for your interest in Boyd Buchanan School. Choosing a school for your child is an important decision, and it is an honor that you are considering Boyd Buchanan. Having experienced Boyd Buchanan as a student, an educator, and a parent, I look forward to sharing with you all of the aspects that make our school community so much more than a place to earn an education.

At Boyd Buchanan School we are committed to our mission to educate the physical, social, and spiritual aspect of each student.  Students graduate not only with excellent academic preparation, but also with knowledge of how to approach real-world challenges with courage and wisdom.

Boyd Buchanan School has been educating students in a Christian, college-preparatory environment for over 60 years. BBS provides a wide range of challenging academic courses as well as numerous co-curricular and extracurricular activities for our students.

To get a more complete picture of the life of a Boyd Buchanan student, we invite you to explore our website; however, the best way to experience this rare and special place is to visit.  Plan to attend one of our Preview Days designed for parents, or have your child experience a typical school day at one of our Be a Buccaneer Days. I look forward to meeting you and to discussing your future as part of the Boyd Buchanan School family.

"The most beneficial part was that I pushed myself to take the AP and accelerated courses. I was very pleased to get to college with 17 credit hours, a whole semester under my belt! Dual enrollment completely paid off!"

Haley Kinser, Class of 2013

"The biggest thing BBS did was teach me study habits. The upper level classes that were offered taught me how to be dedicated to studying and has led me to being successful in college."

Grant Mathis, Alumni c/o 2010

"I was fully equipped with study skills and the ability to lead both inside and out of the classroom. Boyd taught me to expect more from myself and to continually push myself."

Andrew Peace, Alumni c/o 2012

"The teachers cared about us succeeding and doing well, without sacrificing good teaching for good grades. Some teachers taught exactly like professors at Lipscomb. My high school experiences really prepared me for college."

Margaret Rox, Alumni c/o 2012
