Buccaneers Turn To Jeremy Bosken to Restore Football Program

Chattanooga, Tennessee—Jeremy Bosken has a reputation of taking down and out football programs and turning them into winners. Boyd Buchanan School in Chattanooga is hoping that proves to be true again as the Buccaneers announced that Bosken has been hired as the school’s new head football coach.

Bosken has most recently been the head coach at Knoxville Halls High School where he took a program that was tabbed to finish in the region cellar and guided them to a 5-5 record and a trip to the TSSAA playoffs. Prior to coming to Halls, Bosken was the offensive coordinator at Cleveland, helping guide the Blue Raiders to a 7-3 record. At Crockett High School in Jonesborough, Tennessee, it only took Bosken four years to become the winningest coach in school history as the Pioneers were 20-20 in his tenure there.

Boyd Buchanan athletic director, Tommy Brown said the school was serious about returning the Bucs football program to a position of relevance in the Chattanooga area. “We are determined to restore the glory to Buccaneer football, and we believe Coach Bosken can get it done. We had more than 200 applicants for the position and our search committee did a fantastic job finding Coach Bosken.” Head of School, Jill Hartness added, “The committee put forth several quality candidates but Jeremy and his family are the perfect fit. His passion for faith, family, and football are what drew us to him and we are excited for what is to come!”

Coach Bosken stated that he was extremely honored to join the Boyd Buchanan family. “After touring the school and spending time with the administrative team, I feel that is where my family needs to be. Rolling up our sleeves and getting to work is exciting and we will start building this program in the hallways, the classrooms as well as the weight rooms and on the football field.” Bosken added, “We look forward to growing our family with the great Boyd Buchanan tradition.”

Bosken and his wife Alison have three young children, Breelyn, Bella, and Brady.

A press conference to introduce Coach Bosken will be held Monday at 12:00 noon in the Buccaneer Athletic Complex on the Boyd Buchanan campus.
