Delvin Lane will be our featured guest chapel speaker for Secondary Chapel on Wednesday, March 21, 2018. We look forward to hearing his message and testimony and want to extend a special thanks to Natalie Mosley and Jeff Ingram for coordinating with Mr. Lane to visit Chattanooga and speak to our students.
About Delvin LANE:
Delvin Lane is a Christian leader and mentor to many. His current role is the Community Violence Prevention Supervisor for the 901 B.L.O.C. Squad, a violence intervention team tasked with aiding the city of Memphis to decrease youth gun violence.
Before becoming a Christian leader and mentor, Mr. Lane was a former ranking member of the Gangster Disciples, a well-known gang in the United States. He is well-known for the portrayal of the lead gang member character “Alton,” that was featured in the movie The Blind Side.
His biggest goal in life is to help bridge the race gap cities by connecting those less fortunate to those with available resource while showing the similarities we all share as human beings through Christ. His passions are serving the Lord through mentoring high-risk youth and coaching football.
Mr. Lane is a Memphis native and graduate of Booker T. Washington High School (c/o 95). He is a graduate of the University of Memphis with a B.A. in Rhetoric and also earned an M.A. in HR Management.
He and his wife, Loretta, have three children Delvin (25), Deneisha (22), and Ariel (17). He enjoys reading classic horror stories and loves to travel and go on cruises.
