Hall of Fame Induction

Michael Gaines attended and graduated from Boyd-Buchanan School in 1992.  During his time at BBS, he played football and was all-state in basketball.  After graduation, he attended Freed-Hardeman University where he continued his basketball career.  He achieved and still currently holds the record for career rebounds at FHU.  Michael was a 4-time all-conference selection and helped lead his team to a NAIA National Tournament appearance.

Will Healy attended and graduated from Boyd-Buchanan School in 2003.  During his time at BBS, he was all-state in football.  After graduation, Will was the quarterback for the University of Richmond where his team went on to win the FCS National Championship in 2008.  Will has been coaching college football since his graduation from the University of Richmond in 2009.  During his time with Austin Peay University, he achieved the honor of National Coach of the Year.  He is currently coaching at the University of Central Florida. 

Jeff Legg attended and graduated from Boyd-Buchanan School in 1985.  During his time at BBS, he was all-state in football, the first in BBS history.  After graduation, he attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he continued his football career.

Joe Legg was a celebrated Parent Coach for Women’s Softball at Boyd-Buchanan School.  He led the Lady Bucs to victory and won the state championship in 1987 and 1989; as well as the 1988 Runner-Up team in the state championship. 

Matt Peardon attended and graduated from Boyd-Buchanan School in 2005.  During his time at BBS, he was all-state in football and was on the 2003 football team that won the state championship.  He was named Mr. Football, the only one in Boyd-Buchanan history to date.  Matt continued playing football at Austin Peay University, before transferring to MTSU.

Tracey Barnett Walker attended and graduated from Boyd-Buchanan School in 1989.  During her time at BBS, she was all-state in softball and basketball.  After graduation, she attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where she continued her basketball career.  Tracey became the Head Coach for Women’s Basketball at Boyd-Buchanan in 2013 and is still today.  Last year, in the '22-'23 season, she was named District Coach of the Year.
